Interactive Indoor School Beekeeping Workshops
We offer engaging and age-appropriate workshops for primary and high schools in Lancashire. These interactive sessions include real beekeeping equipment and activities designed to be both educational and enjoyable.
Workshop Details:
Sessions Cover Key Areas Including:
- Discover the Life Cycle of a Honeybee.
- Understand Pollination and Its Importance for the Environment.
- Learn How Honeybees Collaborate to Produce Honey.
- Explore How we Keep Bees Naturally, Without Chemicals.
Our sessions also tie into numerous aspects of the KS1 and KS2 national curriculum:
- The relationship which different organisms have with each other in the wider ecosystem.
- The effect humans are having with the wider environment.
Hands-on Beekeeping Experiences:
We also offer the unique opportunity for the school to place actual honeybee hives on the school site, and we would manage all the hives and the bees at no additional cost to the school.
In addition to having hives which are all completely managed by us for free on the school site, we also offer the school the amazing opportunity of having hands on beekeeping sessions and a beekeeping club for the students.
Through exploring the amazing inner workings of a honeybee colony children will learn many fascinating facts about honeybees, their lives , beekeeping and most importantly their essential role in the ecosystem. With expert guidance throughout the entirety of the experience and plenty of fun, your child will leave buzzing with excitement and a new found knowledge and wonder for honeybees and nature as a whole.
